New Zealand is one of my favorite vacation destinations. It offers you a great select of high octane adventures, as well as a great selection of low key romantic attractions. One of the first decisions that you will need to make when planning your New Zealand vacation is whether you want to use an online travel booking site or to work with a travel agent. To help you with this decision I will be posting two blogs. This blog will discuss the pros and cons of using an online travel booking site and next week I will post another blog on the pros and cons of using a travel agent to book your vacation to New Zealand.
There are several advantages for using an online travel booking site. First of all you don’t have to make an appointment to use the system, you can access the sites 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Next you don’t have to travel to a travel agency to book your travel, you can instead book your travel online at home or from your office. Finally, online travel booking sites tend to have lower fees than travel agencies.
On the flip side of the coin are the cons of using an online travel booking site. The first problem that you may run into when using a travel booking site is not knowing what tour and cruise companies are reputable and which ones are best avoided. Another problem is that you have to research all of your travel options. When you use a travel agent they already have a large base of knowledge about your destination and can tell you what your options are. The final drawback of using an online travel booking site is that you may need to use multiple sites to book all of your travel.

New Zealand is an amazing country. I like to go through my travel agent because they know the loops and when to purchase tickets. Although you pay a little fee for their service, it leaves all the work to them and researching which city I want to visit next to me.
