Last week we talked about a variety of fun events that were planned for the beginning of January in New Zealand. This week I would like to talk about some of the fun events that are planned for the last half of January. Enjoy these activities during your January New Zealand vacations or excursions.
The 18th through the 20th of January is a busy weekend across New Zealand. Your first option is to attend the Organic River Festival in the Manawata-Wanganui region of New Zealand. This event offers food, fun and culture.
If you will be in the Lake Wanaka region of New Zealand on the 19th then you will want to stop by the Challenge Wanaka Triathlon. This is an international Ironman triathlon that attracts some of the top athletes in the world. If you are here to compete good luck!
People who are not interested in sports can journey to the Wairarapa region on the 19th for the Meandering Summer Lunch. This event celebrates the local wine growers. Sample a variety of New Zealand wines.
Your final event option on the 19th is the Blues, Brews and BBQ’s event in the Hawkes Bay region. Like its name suggests there will be music, beer and great food.
A New Zealand vacation is full of adventure. While here sample New Zealand food and drinks and participate in some New Zealand outdoor activities. Have a great New Year! Join us back here next year when we’ll talk more about the great adventures that you can have on your New Zealand vacations.
