to the Best Events in May and June
As we get closer to the end of the month of May New Zealand transitions into late fall. One of the best parts about this season is the number of great musical and cultural events that take place. The first musical event that you can attend is the Prescilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. It will run from May 27 through June 29. This musical first debuted in Australia and now it is beginning its New Zealand Tour. This production includes a bus load of scenery that weights over 23 tonnes, 500 headdresses, and 25 amazing production numbers. Performances will be held at the Civic Theatre in Auckland. Make sure you buy your tickets and make arrangements for your New Zealand accommodations early to make sure you get the seats and rooms that you want.
If you have kids and will be in New Zealand between May 29 and June 2, then you will want to get tickets for High School Musical: the Ice Tour. This activity will be performed at the Vector Area, Mahuhu Cres located in Downtown Auckland. Book a rental car in New Zealand to get you to all the great sites and attractions before and after the show.
If you are an opera buff then you will want to make plans to see the National Tour of Puccini’s La Boheme. Patrick Nalan will be directing and Emmanuel Joel-Hornak will be conducting. It will be performed at the ASB Theare at the Aotea Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. It will be hosted by the NBR New Zealand Opera.
