This week I’d like to talk about a variety of New Zealand Vacation ideas for the month of May. The first is CHARTFEST. This is the Christchurch Music Festival, and it is much more than just great live musical performances by artists like MC Ed Muzik, the Valves and Cairo Knife Fight, it also includes music clinics, workshops and prize giveaways. This event is scheduled for May 23, 2008 from 1230 to 2300. Tickets are $17.50 for general admission and you get your tickets from either Real Groovy or from Ticketek. The venue for this festival is the Christchurch Town Hall located at 86 Kilmore Street, Christchurch, New Zealand.
If you are looking for a New Zealand food and drink event, then you will want to attend the Bluff Oyster & Food Festival scheduled for May 24, 2008. This is the 46th annual Bluff Oyster & Food Festival and it will start a little bit before 1100 with the official Piping of the Oyster. This festival costs $15 for general admission and $5 for kids 12 and under. If you love New Zealand seafood like Blue Cod, Tuna, Seafood Chowder, Marinated Mussels, Salmon, Crayfish, Sushi, Crab and Paua, then buy your tickets early. While seafood is the theme, non-seafood dishes will also be served by local restaurants and food vendors.
The final event that can spice up New Zealand holidays is the Womens Lifestyle Expo. This is a special expo for women. It will feature a wide range of vendors who sell products and offer services that may interest women from furniture to home services. The admission price is $10 per ticket and it will be held at the Arena 2 on Pascal Street in Palmerston North, Manawatu, New Zealand.
