If you enjoy country music then you will want to make plans to join in the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival. This festival is scheduled for May 9 through 11. It will include the musical talents of over 45 different musicians and artists from New Zealand, as well as many talented artists from around the world. If you are interested in New Zealand food and drink then you will want to make plans to attend APPLEFEST. This is the first year this event is held in Hawke’s Bay. It is scheduled for May 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Filter Room Cider Tree Café grounds. Here you will hear live performance by ABBALICIOUS, the Funky Monkeys and the Parearau Kapa Haka and the Poi Boys. You will also find a great selection of apple food and drinks and fun FART (fruit art) activities.
The final event that you can attend in May 2008 is the Erupt Lake Taupo Festival. This is festival is scheduled fro May 8th through the 18th. It is the perfect place to pick up unique New Zealand gifts. You will also be able to experience local theater, music, cabaret, visual arts and dance performance.
