Planning Flights to New Zealand Based on Event Dates

Okay, back to New Zealand events. Over the next week there are several great cultural events that you will want to participate in. First of all there is the Welsh Festival of Singing. It is scheduled for June 1 and it will be held at the Wellington Cathedral of St. Paul. This venue is located at on the corner of Cenr Hill Street and Mulesworker Street in Thorndon, Wellington, New Zealand. Admission to this event is $8 and the guest organist will be Michael Fulcher. This event will start at 2 p.m. and will run until 3:30 p.m.

If you are booking your flights to New Zealand so that you arrive during the first two weeks of June then you will want to make plans to attend the Matariki Festival. This is a Maori harvest celebration and it will feature the Ngati Kahungunu tribe. There will be games, music, awards, fireworks, dancing and other fun activities. Venues for this festival will be spread out of the Hawke’s Bay area.

On June 5 is World Environment Day. This is a United Nation’s sponsored event that is designed to increase public awareness about environmental issues. The theme for this year’s event is “Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy.” Most of the events will be held in Wellington and activities will include art shows, lectures, clinics and other fun activities.
