Visit the Canterbury Museum Christchurch New Zealand to
Savor 130 Years of NZ Heritage

Housed in one of New Zealand’s finest historic buildings, the Canterbury Museum Christchurch New Zealand is located on Rolleston Avenue at Worcester Boulevard near the Botanic Gardens, and just over 500 meters from Cathedral Square. The Museum is open every day except Christmas. Hours during the months of October through March are 9.00 am – 5.30 pm and April through September hours are 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.

The Documentary Research Center is open 1.00 pm - 4.30 pm, Monday through Friday. General admission is free; however, donations are appreciated. Guided tours of the museum are also free. Your guide will answer your questions and provide you with information about the collections and galleries.
